Extremely sorry for the lack of posts lately. Between traveling, the jetlag, and among other things, just readjusting to the pace of reality, I finally am able to collect myself and get back to it. As you all know, I hit Hong Kong last month with my mom, but what I didn’t mention was we made a short trip to Macau! We had the pleasure of staying at the St. Regis Macao, Cotai Central and I can’t wait to tell you about our stay!
The St. Regis Macao, Cotai Central
The St. Regis Macao far exceeded my expectations! Aside from it’s highly renowned reputation for excellent customer service and hospitality, it is the ONLY hotel in all of Macao that offers a 24/7 Butler service to all guests! This special feature sets St. Regis Macao apart from all the other hotel options because of how invested it is in making every guest feel appreciated and essentially (in our case) like queens.
The “Allow Me” Butler service is a signature service that acts as a guest’s personal assistant, or a little genie. Anything your heart desires, your wish is essentially St. Regis’ command no matter the hour. This goes into their 100 years’ (and going) commitment to the happiness of each and every guest. That means if you want piping hot coffee in the middle of the night, you got it. The service even offers a packing and unpacking service! If you’re too tired after your arrival and you want everything to magically unpack, just say the word. Likewise, instead of frantically rushing to pack for check out, you can just ring a bell and have it done. Wrinkled clothes? No worries! The Butler service offers garment pressing and even shoe shining! If you’re feeling fancy, you can even reach a Butler by email through the eButler service. And if you’re worried that you have to share your Butler with the entire hotel, St. Regis Macao has that covered! There are several Butlers assigned to each floor and sometimes even to a specific suite. So don’t worry, there’s plenty of Butlers for everyone 😉
St. Regis Macao: Cotai Deluxe Room
My mom and I stayed in the Cotai Deluxe room. We were greeted with an inviting fresh bowl of fruits and a sweet handwritten note. There were so many amenities that the room offered. Aside from a fully stocked mini bar, we had access to a selection of tea and coffee. Every one of St. Regis Macao’s 400 rooms comes with a handy phone, which is a mobile phone that you get to borrow throughout the duration of your stay! It gives you access to make local and international calls, view more information on the hotel and its services, find activities and places nearby, and even has access to the internet.
We had a beautiful view that overlooked the Cotai Strip! The Eiffel tower of the Parisian was dead center so if you glance really quickly, you can imagine you’re in Paris ;). I think one of my favorite aspects of the room was the bathroom. The interior was beautiful!! Y’all know I love white marble! It offered a full bathtub, stand up shower, and an isolated toilet for privacy. There was even a tv integrated into the mirror over a double sink.
You can certainly say we made ourselves at home! And so did my tsum tsums. I have no shame LOL, I brought iron man and baymax along for the journey (mainly because I’ve become so accustomed to sleeping with them, it just felt like a piece of home).
St. Regis Macao: The Manor
Since St. Regis Macao prides itself on a personalized experience, The Manor offers a multi dining experience with five different venues! The venues are all separated into different rooms located on the ground floor and are known as The Verandah, The Dining Room, The Wine Gallery, The Penthouse Kitchen and The Library. The Manor serves high quality dishes composed of the finest ingredients from all around the world!
We had the honor of having a gourmet lunch at The Manor and every dish was not only aesthetically pleasing to look at, but also so savory with the perfect notes to make our taste buds dance.
St. Regis Macao’s Signature Cocktail
Fun Fact: In 1934, bartender Fernand Petiot introduced the “Red Snapper” at the King Cole Bar in The St. Regis New York hotel. Later the famous drink became known as the “Bloody Mary” and ever since then it has remained the signature cocktail of the St. Regis brand and is offered in every hotel, crafted with its own spin based on the location.
At the St. Regis Macao, the Bloody Mary is called the Maria Do Leste. The most unique part is the drink’s presentation! The drink is deconstructed on a tray, laying out key ingredients allowing the guests to take the drink to the next level by allowing guests to personalize the drink to their liking. The glass itself is rimmed with salt, offering a skewered cherry tomato and lime wedge, along with the a celery stick. On the side, a warm lobster egg tart awaits with sautéed chouriço, or sausage. You’re given a miniature bottle of Grey Goose vodka and a miniature tabasco bottle, along with a side of sea salt and crushed pink peppercorns.
The entire drink offers chouriço, or sausage, from Portugal, pink peppercorn and limes from Brazil, Piri Piri from Africa, cinnamon and paprika from India, lobster and sea salt from the seas, and even an egg tart, black vinegar and black peppercorn from China.
Lastly, here is a really short recap of my stay at the St. Regis Macao, highlighting everything. Be sure to check it out and let me know your thoughts!! Overall, I had an amazing experience and would definitely be back. I highly recommend staying here if you’re ever in the area 🙂 truly the best hotel on the Cotai Strip and their pledge to making a guest happy is impeccable!
