It’s definitely lit.
Feeling all types of litty titty in this fun, bold top from Zara. Aside from the fire that’s on my chest, I shot in 90+ degree weather so you can definitely say it was lit forreal.
Holy cakes it was hot this day. It was honestly super hard to look “calm, cool, and collected” when I was trying not to melt. I think I did a fairly good job, but you bet the behind the scenes was hysterical!!! A lot of people waiting at the red light each time were enjoying their blast of A/C while watching me sweat to death – probably laughing at how ironic my outfit was. Fitting, for sure. Lit, lit, lit.
Aside from the litty titty top, my crazy ass was in JEANS. Dark jeans, no less. So you can imagine my struggle, on top of the not so comfy fishnet leggings to match. Hah! My mind was repeating do it for the gram, do it for the gram. The things we do for the gram blows my mind. Like what was I thinking? This would totally be a lit outfit, hah! More like literally burning my ass. It will look sick, I said, it’ll be fun, I said.
Okay, but seriously putting my stress and worries aside, I think this is one of my favorite outfits of all time. I’ve been dying to get my take on the fishnet/denim trend so when I picked this fun top up from Hong Kong, I was like yaas this is it! It took me a while to find the perfect fishnet tights and ripped denim jeans but I did it! Can you believe this is the first time I ever shopped at Urban Outfitters?!
Anyway the inspiration story behind this top: I decided to go to Zara while I was in Hong Kong to see if they had anything that the states didn’t have. I stumbled upon this shirt and cracked up. I had to show it to my mom to see her reaction. She ended up hysterically laughing and told me to get it. The last time I checked, yellow was not my color so I passed up the idea. In the end I ran back and got the shirt. The shirt was actually past my hips in length so I took a trusty dusty scissor and chopped it into a messy crop top.
I once said earlier in the year that I would force myself to step outside of my comfort zone, so I totally did with this outfit. Not a huge fan of yellow, but I made it work! Even though I might’ve picked the wrong day, weather wise, but I absolutely love how it came together!
What are your thoughts on the fishnet/denim trend?
