Adidas Woman: No matter where we are, we strive.
We push forward, we make a difference, and we continue creating. I am proud to partner up with adidas to show you what being an adidas woman looks like through my own creative lens.
Does an adidas woman mean you must be athletic? I am definitely not the most athletic person. I don’t love cardio (who does?!), but I do always push myself to try harder and run longer. It’s so rewarding to be able to see where you start and where you end. In the past year, I adopted a more positive mindset to continue striving for a better version of me and this meant to eat better and exercise more. The end of 2016, I encountered exercise-induced asthma symptoms that made it really hard to breathe after doing a lot of heavy exercise. This completely deflated my spirits for having to rely on an inhaler to help my lungs keep up with my body. I hated running even more because it would result in the worst coughing fits ever.
After a long time coping and continued efforts, I began to notice improvement. I was able to run faster and longer distances. I was able to train my lungs to get used to the endurance. Now when I exercise, I no longer need to take my asthma pump to open up my passageways (only on rare occasions when I push too hard).
When you look good, you feel good. Slipping into this new adidas gear was one of the best feelings because it not only felt super comfortable, but it was also snug, sleek and stylish. I am extremely impressed with the sports bra because adidas found a way to make it both compact and insanely comfortable for all types of movement. Usually I feel slightly suffocated but this particular bra was spot on in comfort.
And the athletic pants? Smooth as butter! I’m surprised at how liquid tight it felt against my legs. A few months back I made the investment in getting some Lululemon pants and it was a game changer because of how soft, snug, and breathable it was. Discovering that adidas’ Climalite pants also carries the same qualities is amazing! The inside of the waist also has a great daily reminder: Before you quit, remember why you started.
The Athletics 24/7 Women sneakers are SO comfortable and the design was so different than their standard originals. It’s odd that there isn’t any of adidas’ signature stripes or even their logo to be seen. Nonetheless, I definitely feel like it is a greatly innovative and refreshing look, especially with the bumped rim. Totally #hypebae.
Out of all the different material and textures, the adidas Climalite tank top won the gold for best feeling. I can’t even describe what type of material it is but it’s so soft. It kind of reminds me of velour. The material is also breathable and stretchy so it moves with you no matter what activity you put it up against. Plus the design helps show off those muscles 😉
Overall, I am blessed and proud of all the progress I’ve made thus far. No matter how many times I fall, I’ll always find a way to get back up again. I can’t wait to climb to new heights, push past more boundaries, and find myself where I’d never expect I’d be.
